My husband and I LOVE this base. A small town within military perimeters.
Just left this God forsaken land after spending two years of my life here. NAWDC (Naval Aviation Warfare Development Center, formerly NSAWC) is the worst command I have ever been to, and i have seen more than my fair share of commands. The cops on base here are real quick to pull you over. The gym is okay, NEX and Commissary are super small, they have no galley (you can eat at the flightline restaurant or the officers club). Base housing is the worst i have ever seen. The nearest real city/place to go do anything is Reno, 60 miles away.
