Don't go here, they use scare tactics and will rip you off. Was told my brakes are at 3-4 mm two other places here and fallon say brakes are good at 7-8 mm. Brakes don't grow. My thanks to C BAR R and Les Schwab for being a few of the last honest places to go.
Furthermore they promised a 36 month guarantee on service, but I see on the paper work it is only 24 months. John promised 3 separate occasions (orally) that it is 36. Paper work says 24. I got bamboozled again.
[Work done 11/14/2017] I was orally quoted for my entire repair of my car for $606 and change. They did call to confirm my problems of the vehicle and asked if I wished to proceed with the repairs, which I of course wished too. My car was in for a diagnostic on starter and A/C, and repair bad starter and bad O2 sensor b1s1. Can't drive around with a bad starter and obviously I need to repair the O2.
My quote before diagnostic was the $606 and change. By the time it was done, I was in it by $1,200 plus! They didn't tell me that in their "do you wish to proceed" phone call. Everything was oral and therefore how can I prove this right?
I would say they are the best automotive care center in Fallon. Very polite. Very particular with you vehicle. Trust them doing your vehicle right and they tell you what is wrong and show you what is wrong with your vehicle
Being as that the below was a matter of miscommunication, please disregard my previous complaint. The matter is settled/resolved.
From the minute I walked in the door, to picking up my truck, this was truly a complete five star experience at Christensen Automotive. My truck's key cylinder was not functioning properly and I wasn't sure who might be able to fix the problem. The nearest Dodge dealer was 50 miles away so I thought why not try the local repair shop. Best decision I ever made. John at check in was super! He got a technician out to my truck and Russell immediately nailed the problem down to one of three things. In less than an hour of trouble shooting, Russell zeroed in on the problem. He got the part ordered, with over night delivery, and removed and replaced the defective part first thing the next day. When I picked up my truck I was more than pleasantly surprised at the bill. I'm sure this same repair at the Dodge service center would have cost three times what I paid at Christensen. I couldn't be happier and will definitely be returning for repairs / service when the need arises. Thank you Christensen Automotive!
Management has called me directly. I originally put 1 star, but due to professional and concerned leadership of Christensen Auto I now rate this 4 stars for personally dealing with me. The gentleman I spoke with regretted the situation and is refunding me to the original quote. This was also a very speedy response to the review I made yesterday, which indicates that they care about their reputation and do not desire for things like this to transpire. I was touched at the managements outreach to me. Their concern, genuine.
First, I'm a stickler for customer service. These boys were courteous, professional and quick. My worries became theirs and they took care of my truck. I'm an out of towner and they made me feel comfortable. Great guys! Highly recommend.
They marked up a re-manufactured starter from Napa +100%(starter at Napa was $112 for the same reman part, they charged me $236 for a re-man!!). Purchased the most expensive o2 sensor they could find ($390 when I can find one for $153 at Napa).
