A friend suggested calling lahontan valley vet clinic. They took both dogs right in and went to work removing quills. The total bill was a little over $300.00 for BOTH dogs, and thats witb the emergency fee. I will be taking my pets there from now on. They cared more about my lets than the clinic we had been going to for years. These dogs were suffering and and in pain. They were unable to even get a drink of water with the quills inside their mouths. Thank you lahontan valley vet clinic! You have loyal customers for life!

My 2 dogs recently had a run in with a porcupine while we we at lake lahontan. Needless to say the.porcupine won that fight. Both dogs had quills in their faces, mouths, necks, chest, and tongues. We called "our" vet clinic and were told it would be $300.00 to $500.00 per dog just to be seen. Then when we agreed to that they suddenly were triple booked and could not see our dogs. They couldn't even refer us to another vet.
Always enjoy taking my pets there and great at explaining in terms for someone who hasn't gone to vet school
By far the best Vet clinic I have ever used. I have had animals my whole life and had experienced many different clinics and individual vets and Dr. Ferguson from Lahontan is the bomb. She is kind and always remembers you when you come in. I have seen other vets in the clinic and they have all been wonderful. This clinic treats large and small animals and they are very reasonably priced. I recommend them all the way!!!!
